First, Artificial Intelligence is not the artificial intelligence Bollywood would have us imagine it to be. Secondly, AI is a need because people don’t want to work and don’t want to die.By definition Artificial intelligence (AI, also machine intelligence, MI) is intelligence exhibited by machines, rather than humans or other animals (natural intelligenceNI). The Artificial Intelligence (the study of intelligent agents and devices that identify its domain) works to maximize its success towards a goal. Advancement of Artificial Intelligence everywhere has outshone all other fields at finding quick fixes to crude problems within no time.

Without even realizing it, we have come a long way in this field. You browse through hundreds of sites within minutes and encounter tons of AI applications. Say for example, CAPTCHA (Completely Automated Public Turing test) that’s capable of distinguishing between Computers and Human or the AI that crushed all records, the GAME 2048. But we still have a long way to go. Facebook is using AI to understand emotions of its users, identify inanimate objects in pictures, and predict its user’s actions. Google has its own Quantum Artificial Intelligence Lab with a quantum computer.

Artificial intelligence (or machine intelligence, MI) is not related and/or dependant on humans or other any other species in this world. (natural intelligenceNI).

“AI is the science and engineering of making intelligent machines, especially intelligent computer programs”.-John McCarthy

With tech giants like Facebook and Google creating their own AI labs to produce robots that are capable of playing video games without any instructions, the world is heading towards an AI-powered future! The last few years proved to be the beginning of an entirely new and extra-ordinary era in the history of AI, with the grand showcase of self learning Bots.It is expected that an AI-powered society can give rise to affordable healthcare , inexpensive and personalized education, inexpensive self-driving cars available to all and provision of meaningful work to people around the world.

For a hundred years, electricity has brought an entirely new life to each and every major , AI is now poised to do the same. Several huge techno companies have already started projects and dedicated a whole set of people for the field  AI, not to mention the entire stride of the journey that transformed each one of them individually. In the coming years, corporations (small or massive) and all possible industries shall realize that they themselves can – and should – be part of this AI-powered future.

Just as every teen knows F.R.I.E.N.D.S. , every mother knows emotional blackmail and every engineer knows mass recruitment, every future coder or C.S. graduate should know the use of AI. The world needs all of you from all over the world to create great AI systems because no single company can do all the work needed to get us there.

Remember the helplessness when you watch T.V. and its controls somehow seem to mock your intelligence? But trust me, Nothing mocks you more than your own computer. So basically, regardless of whether you are an aspiring software engineer in California (Kudos to you though), a research scientist in China, or an ML engineer in India, you can use Deep Learning to solve the world’s challenges with minimal guidance. An AI-powered society improves the everyday lives of users profoundly.

In early age, use of AI was limited to the computers. Later on, robotics came into the picture. In our day, it becomes an integral part of human life. Imagine each one of you with a J.A.R.V.I.S. of your own!

I work hard every day to prepare myself for the long-term goal of pursuing a career in teaching
and research. My strong passion to become a scientist and pursue research makes my heart crave
for new bits of information regarding technological advances. I have always adopted a rigorous
approach in order to attain an in-depth understanding of the subject at hand.
Though, what really knocks me out is a blog that, when you're all done reading it, you wish the
writer that wrote it was a terrific friend of yours and you could call him up on the phone
whenever you felt like it. This is the main agenda behind every blog I edit. Information doesn’t
make an article interesting. My objective is to make it so intriguing that someone would stop and
take a second to look at “who wrote this”.
